A Look at Our Newest Collaboration

We have something new and exciting to show off in the shop! In a brand new and exciting collaboration, we now have some beautifully hand-crafted wood-burned tarot boards!

The Story

One of our big goals or missions for our shop and business is to collaborate with and feature small creators and businesses. Sometimes that goal is quickly realized and other times it takes some scouting around to find the right products and creators to work with.

Some time ago, we reached out to the amazingly talented pyrography artist of ShinyCraft regarding a wholesale collaboration. When the timing was right for her, Chantal agreed to work with us on something new and unique. We had conversations back and forth and settled on creating tarot boards. And so the journey began.

Tarot boards were new for Chantal, but we spent some time back and forth discussing sizing and style. Once she found the right size boards, she kept us updated along the way with everything involved in the process, including preliminary sketches. And soon things were shipped and on their way.

The Boards

These boards are made of a pale beech wood approximately 30 cm x 20 cm each. Burned with vines and roses around the border with a pentacle sitting on the bottom border. Each board will hold three tarot or oracle cards in a simple layout for situation, obstacle, and advice. Though, you could definitely use it for any three-card tarot/oracle spread you wish. Each board has a layer of varnish to protect the surface and the design. And on the back is burned “Shinycraft x The Rose Craft” to indicate our collaboration.
