Rider Waite Smith Tarot

This is the original edition of the famous 78-card tarot deck. It was designed by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of the occult scholar Dr. Arthur Edward Waite, for whom the deck is named. The deck contains 22 Major Arcana and 56 Lesser Arcana cards, all illustrated in full color. It also includes a little white book (instruction booklet)!

The Rider Waite Smith Tarot Deck is definitely our recommendation for a beginner's deck, mostly because other tarot decks out there base their imagery and symbolism on this famous one.
